A Comic Book for $1.5 Million Big Ones

Earlier this year I wrote about the sale of a comic book of shattering the world record price for a comic book. Today, that record was shattered again with a copy of the 1938 edition of Action Comics No. 1 selling for $1.5 million. This issue originally sold for 10 cents and is widely considered to be the Holy Grail of comic books.

This is the same issue that sold in February for $1 million though this copy is in much better condition.

About 100 copies of the comic book exist though only a few are said to be in good condition.

The $1.5 million copy was just recently discovered as it had been tucked away inside of an old movie magazine for years before it was discovered.

The comic book was listed for sale on Comic Connect.com and was bought just minutes after it was posted.

I'd love to find one of these just "tucked" into one of my books....
